Appeals

One of the greatest strengths of ACT is a centrally coordinated appeal system for alliance members to channel support for disaster response. Members submit their appeal proposals to the ACT Coordinating Office in Geneva and approved appeals are distributed to the wider alliance for support. Members will often submit “Preliminary Appeals” to communicate their proposed response and to begin receiving funds. Additionally, appeals can also be revised over time to include additional members or as programmes change.
